The Episcopal Church of the Ascension's Educational Programs
March 2010
We continue our study the Book of Exodus. The class meets Sunday mornings from 9:30 - 10:15 am. All are welcome!
Exodus was probably written by Moses in about 1446 B.C. The Book of Exodus was named for the flight of the Israelites from Egypt through the Red Sea to the Desert of Shur. God was leading them to the promised land in present day Israel and Palestine. Members will explore answers from Cooke's Understanding The Bible following these questions:
For the most part, do you have a positive attitude about your life, your volunteer and professional life and our church? Is every area of your life consecrated to God to be used for His purposes? Do you consistently make an effort to maintain purity even in your thoughts? How diligently are you making your thoughts obedient to Christ? Do you seek to live in peace with all people all the time? Do you show respect to everyone --even to those you may not like? Are you aware of anyone in need that you could help this week? Do you ever compromise your values as a result of what your friends are doing? Last, do you make a habit of praying for and loving those you dislike?
You have to admit that the questions are relevant to life and to the words of God in Exodus. I invite you to audit the class on Sunday mornings; I know you will learn and enjoy your experience. I guarantee it. For additional information, call me at 944-2882

All are welcome to attend.
